Nowadays, gritting salt silos are filled with salt using pneumatic conveying systems. Across Germany, road maintenance depots are dependent on the reliable supply of their gritting vehicles with gritting salt in order to ensure safety on our roads.The used rotary air lock ZRS 360 HEAVYDUTY construction size with external bearings conveys the salt into the pneumatic conveyor pipe via a correspondingly calculated feeder shoe with a "venturi" nozzle. The rotary air lock and the feeder shoe are completely made of material stainless steel 1.4571 because of the abrasive and corrosive properties of the conveyed medium.
